Wayne B. Magruder is an electronic musician, drummer, and founding member of the Brooklyn-based band Calla. In 1995, Magruder moved from Texas to New York where he joined drone rockers Bowery Electric, toured, and recorded on their 1996 "Beat" album. In 1998, along with Aurelio Valle and Sean Donovan, he started Calla, releasing 5 full-length albums and touring extensively throughout America, Europe, and elsewhere. Since 2001, Magruder has released solo albums and remixes under the names "Tenecke" and "Wayne B." In his new project, "Highway Robbery", he creates ambient loop-based music using samples culled exclusively from a found tape reel of a 1970s marching band competition.
